Malaysian online marketplace 11street intends to grow its total seller base by at least 10% from 42,000 to 50,000 in 2018. The company plans to roll out special programmes and initiatives for new sellers, to help them gain visibility on its platform and drive steady sales revenue.According to Bruce Lim, VP of merchandising, 11street, the company intends to include new features and improve its seller system user interface, to give sellers a better overview of their performance on 11street. Lim added that the company also plans to enhance its tutorial videos to help sellers better leverage its platform for their benefit. As such, 11street is conceptualising campaigns each month that will enable it to feature new sellers to shoppers. In addition to its Seller Zone programme, 11street will continue its efforts through the 11street Academy, by introducing new programmes that adhere to the evolution of e-commerce in Malaysia. Among the list of local business that have participated in 11street Academy are atoz2u, Genesis Online and Milando.“When we first launched 11street in Malaysia, our vision was to help sellers reach their full potentials. This very vision motivated the kickstart of our 11street Academy and Seller Zone programmes. While the former is a full-fledged certification programme endorsed by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, the latter is an education centre and support facility for e-entrepreneurs," Lim said.
