Hong Kong-based fintech company Zero Finance has appointed media agency PHD Hong Kong to handle the media account for its hero product X Wallet, following a pitch back in March.

PHD was selected for its robust integrated capabilities, combining a proven ability to land impactful brand narratives with a strong track record of driving measurable business outcomes, said Mercer Ng, brand and marketing director, X Wallet by Zero Finance in conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE.

"Their strategic approach, creative excellence as well as data capabilities make them an ideal partner for building resonance and performance in equal measure," Ng added.

Under the new partnership, PHD Hong Kong will be responsible for strategic media planning and buying, data consultancy, brand tracker and social listening for the brand.

Established in 2014, Zero Finance is dedicated to building a flexible and reliable intelligent financial service platform for the public, combining big data and AI technology to provide users with timely professional financial advice and support, creating more wealth opportunities.

Guided by the principles of “Zero Limits”, “Zero Waiting”, and “Zero Pains”, the company focuses on inclusive finance and wealth management. It believes that sharing intelligence and innovation democratises financial knowledge, enabling everyone to have the opportunity to control their financial path.

Last year, X Wallet has tapped Hong Kong singer Mandy Tam to introduce its app features. Tam's vivid and proactive image embodies the brand's mission, empowering everyone to pursue their dreams. Furthermore, as an all-rounded artist, Tam excels in dancing, singing, sports and acting, and this encourages Hongkongers to explore endless possibilities.

The campaign was amplified via multiple media channels such as digital, social media, TV and out-of-home placements, including bus bodies, taxis, tram shelters, MTR stations, a billboard in Mongkok, amongst others.
