Unveiling the MARKies Awards Singapore 2023 finalists

The finalists for MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s MARKies Awards 2023 have been officially revealed, and as of now, the list is publicly accessible on the awards programme's website. With a diverse array of ingenious, visionary, and impactful campaigns submitted to mark its 14^th edition, the 2023 shortlist sees strong representation from reputable agencies in Singapore.

Out of the 42 categories open for entry, this year saw the return of many beloved and popular categories, including the addition of the new ‘Most Creative – Cause Marketing, ‘Most Creative – World Cup Related Campaign’ and ‘Most Effective Use – Omnichannel’ categories. Similar to the awards’ previous edition, the most successful agencies across the two themes – Creative Ideas and Media Usage— will be awarded the Overall Creative Ideas MARKie and the Overall Media Usage MARKie titles respectively.

The MARKies Awards 2023 was judged by 30 senior marketing professionals from around the region.

"While judging these exciting entries, the one thing that resonated with me deeply as someone who had to build a brand from nothing, was that you don’t need a huge marketing budget to engage your target audience. But what you can't do without is creating powerful, soulful messages and experiences that truly speak to them," said Michelle Peh, the global chief branding officer and chief operating officer of MindChamps PreSchool.

Adding on, Lawrence Yip, chief marketing officer, Sembcorp Development noted that the general standard of the entries was high and that several submissions stood out for their creativity and strategies with timely execution contributing to outstanding results. " It is heartening to witness the strong participation rate and quality of entries by the media community in this competition which will go a distance in bringing the industry to a new height," he said.

The winners of the 14^th Annual MARKies Awards will be announced at a live gala dinner and celebration in Singapore on the 30^th of June 2023 at Shangri-La Singapore.
