Uber has appointed Ally Doubé (pictured) as its new Asia Pacific marketing director, promoting the creative brand leader as the company gears up for its next phase of regional growth. She reports to Lucinda Barlow, senior director, head of international marketing at Uber.
In her expanded role, Doubé will oversee Uber’s marketing across mobility, delivery, and membership in Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. She joins the Uber APAC leadership team and will be responsible for steering regional campaigns, fostering strategic partnerships, and cultivating a high-performance marketing culture.
Doubé’s focus will be on accelerating growth across key Asia-Pacific markets by sharpening brand impact, strengthening go-to-market execution, and scaling proven ideas with greater speed. She will also prioritise smart experimentation, local creativity, and bolder storytelling to deepen connections with riders, drivers, and customers.
Until a successor is named, Doubé will continue to lead marketing efforts in Japan during the transition period.
Doubé, an Australian based in Tokyo, has been with Uber for over five years and has held a number of senior leadership roles, including APAC head of brand strategy for Uber and Uber Eats.
Her subsequent appointment as APAC head of brand marketing expanded the scope of her core strategy role, and most recently, Doubé was head of marketing in Japan and South Korea.
Before joining Uber in 2020, Doubé held senior roles in strategic innovation and brand strategy with globally recognised organisations, including Austrade and Campbell Arnott’s.
Lucinda Barlow, senior director, head of international marketing at Uber, said: “Ally brings a powerful combination of strategic acumen and courageous leadership that galvanises teams, propels brands, and drives extraordinary growth. Under her leadership, Uber Eats has become a household favourite in Japan. I’m excited to see her bring that energy and sharp thinking to APAC and our global team.”
Doubé, APAC marketing director at Uber, said: “APAC has always been one of Uber’s most creative and fast-moving regions. I’m excited to keep pushing what’s possible here and turn that momentum into the next chapter of growth across rides and delivery."
