Town Square hires Matt Altis to lead growing media operation

Independent agency Town Square has appointed former PHD business director Matt Altis as head of media following a string of account wins. 

Altis becomes the first of several planned hires as Town Square expands its media team and pushes further into an integrated creative and media model.

He joins the Melbourne-based agency after more than 15 years in media, primarily with PHD alongside a stint at Initiative. Most recently, Altis was business director for Asahi Group at PHD, leading strategic portfolio planning and advising on media and investment decisions.

His previous clients include EnergyAustralia, ANZ, Priceline and Porsche.

Town Square founder and director Danielle Moeller said the appointment followed significant growth in the agency's media business.

Altis will lead strategic media and product development, with a remit spanning planning, operations and new media opportunities across Town Square's client portfolio.
