Niccolo Hotel's The Murray, Hong Kong has appointed Dean Dimitriou (pictured) as general manager, effective immediately.

In his new role, Dimitriou will take the lead in strategic development, drive commercial growth, and cultivate a culture of service excellence.

With a career spanning over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Dimitriou is an experienced hotelier who possesses extensive experience in managing luxury hotel establishments. Throughout his career, he has worked at global hotels such as InterContinental, Hyatt, Mandarin Oriental, and The Langham spanning across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America. 

Moreover, Dimitriou served as the hotel manager at The Murray, Hong Kong since 2017 and played a pivotal role in attaining the Forbes five-star rating for the hotel.

He subsequently advanced within the Wharf Hotels Group and assumed the role of general manager at Niccolo Chengdu in China in 2022. The hotel achieved record-high guest satisfaction and delivered exceptional service excellence during his tenure, according to the release. 

“I am delighted and honored to have this extraordinary opportunity to return to the team at this iconic property, which holds a captivating story that connects the past and the present. I eagerly look forward to creating a new sense of luxury for all our guests" said Dimitriou.

This comes months after The Murray, Hong Kong appointed Mavis Ko as director of communications. She reports to Sonny Ang, executive assistant manager for sales and marketing of The Murray.

As a seasoned hotelier, Ko brings on board over 15 years of experience in marketing and PR across the F&B and hospitality industries. In her new capacity, Ko is leading the communications team to promote The Murray to the global audience and continue to position the hotel as one of Hong Kong’s most iconic hotels.
