Bayer, FairPrice Group and DKSH won big at this year's eCommerce awards.
Bayer stole the spotlight by achieving the “eCommerce Brand of the Year” title at MARKETING-INTERACTIVE’s fifth edition of the Asia eCommerce Awards, with one bronze, two silvers and five gold trophies that placed them ahead of the intense competition. Strong contenders that came close to stealing the title were McDonald’s (represented by McDonald’s and MHK Restaurant) and giga! that collected two bronze, five silvers and four golds between them.
Bayer’s achievement was greatly owed to the success of its entries “Bepanthen #BosKecilKu”, “CDR #RamadanKembaliKuat”, and “Lengkapkan Sahur, Semangatkan Ramadan -#BersahurBersamaBerocca” that dominated various categories, such as “Best in eCommerce Brand - Baby, Personal Care & Home Products”, “Best eCommerce Campaign - Content Marketing”, and “Best eCommerce Campaign – Influencers”.
Two other coveted overall titles were awarded that night to recognise the “eCommerce Agency of the Year” and “eCommerce Marketplace / eRetailer of the Year”.
FairPrice Group made a strong showing by winning “eCommerce Marketplace / eRetailer of the Year”. Its one silver and six gold trophies gave the company an edge over its distinguished competitors, including Watsons and Shopee, that won four bronze and five gold trophies.
FairPrice Group's campaigns “Digitalising your grocery and food journey” and “FairPrice App - Your Groceries Your Way” brought its victory in a variety of categories, such as “Best in eCommerce Marketplace/eRetailer - Consumer Products” and “Best COVID-19 Related Campaign”. Notably, the group also won “eCommerce Team of the Year – Brand”.
DKSH eCommerce was the well-deserved winner of the “eCommerce Agency of the Year” title putting the firm ahead of competitors, that included Hogarth Worldwide, Fishermen Integrated, and MediaCom Malaysia.
Its campaigns “DKSH Discover”, “7-Eleven Modern Trade eCommerce”, “OMRON Lockdown Online Support”, and “Accu-Chek Malaysia” were fan favourites that won them five bronze, three silver and four gold trophies, taking the lead in categories such as the “Best eCommerce Campaign - B2B’, ‘Best eCommerce Consultant”, “Best eCommerce Solution”, and “Best Use of UI / UX Design”. This achievement puts them on a winning streak from last year’s Asia eCommerce Awards, where they attained the “eCommerce Brand of the Year” title.
The winners were decided by an 18 strong judging panel comprised of senior digital eCommerce and marketing professionals from renowned brands across the region. The winners of the Asia eCommerce Awards were announced on 13 January 2023.
MARKETING-INTERACTIVE would like to extend a huge thank you to our Gold sponsor Commercetools and Silver sponsor Google Cloud, and our judges for giving up their valuable time to thoroughly review and score every single entry. Congratulations to all winners across the award’s 38 categories, and we look forward to seeing all of you once again at next year’s Asia eCommerce Awards.
