Supercars has locked in a record-breaking broadcast agreement with the Foxtel Group and Seven West Media, securing multi-year coverage that its chief executive James Warburton described as “a monumental day” for the sport.
The deal ensures every round of the Repco Supercars Championship will be shown live on Kayo Sports and Foxtel, with races ad-break free during live action and available in ultra-high definition. Seven retains free-to-air rights for marquee events including the Bathurst 1000, Gold Coast 500 and Adelaide Grand Final, with coverage across the Seven Network and 7plus.
The domestic agreements bolster Supercars’ international footprint, with recent extensions such as a four-year Sky Sport deal in New Zealand. Global distribution now spans 128 countries and 19 broadcasters, reaching up to 325 million homes.
“This multi-year deal secures our future, delivers unprecedented access, and elevates how we showcase our sport,” Warburton said at the Bathurst 1000 launch in Sydney. “The next phase for Supercars will be among the most exciting in our history, starting in 2026 when Toyota joins the grid and we debut in Christchurch with a new Finals Series.”
Foxtel Group CEO Patrick Delany called the deal part of a first-tier sports line-up for its platforms. “With Kayo Sports being home to the majority of rounds, and every single round available in stunning UHD, we are delivering Supercars fans the ultimate experience,” he said.
Seven West Media CEO Jeff Howard said the broadcaster was proud to continue its half-century association with the sport. “The addition of Toyota to the championship will be a true game changer and will take this great sport to a whole new level.”
The announcement was marked with the unveiling of the first Toyota GR Supra Supercar, which will make its debut at October’s Bathurst 1000.
