Filippo Stefanelli, chief marketing officer of StashAway, is departing from the wealth management company. His last day was earlier this week. Stefanelli declined to comment further on his departure but confirmed his last day to be 14 November on a LinkedIn post. He will also be relocating to Europe.
Commenting on his journey, he said the brand has been on a “tumultuous ride to empower people to build long-term wealth”.
“We scaled the company across multiple geographies. We positioned innovative products like no one else did before. And we did all of that during a massive shift in monetary policy driven by a never seen before global pandemic,” he said. He added the through the role, he learnt more about investor’s mind and our customers' attitudes and beliefs toward saving and investing.
According to Stefanelli, StashAway's brand is about learned a lot about the investor’s mind and our customers' attitudes and beliefs toward saving and investing. Dealing with money could easily be emotionally draining/exhilarating - most of us would benefit a lot by having a trusted coach next to us. This is how we built StashAway’s brand.
In March, StashAway appointed Theresa Pragasam-Sidhu as its head of brand. Pragasam-Sidhu told MARKETING-INTERACTIVE that this is a new role in the company, and she was reporting to chief marketing officer Stefanelli.
Stefanelli has also previously worked in Italy in digital marketing and agency capabilities. Stefanelli was previously a co-founder and managing director at NT Next for 12 years and five months. He was a consultant at DS Group for six months while he was also in the position of a consultant at Arrow Electronics for one year.
