Macau resort operator Sands China has joined forces with digital travel platform Agoda to launch multiple marketing initiatives in the fourth quarter of 2024 to promote Macau to an international audience.
The partnership is in line with Sands China’s support of Macau as a world centre of tourism and leisure, according to the release. Both parties aim to leverage their respective resources and strengths for mutually beneficial cooperation and to promote the comprehensive development of the Macau tourism market.
This partnership will explore various business opportunities across multiple areas. A key focus will be capitalising on Agoda’s resources in Asia to bring more visitors to Macau.
Furthermore, the two parties will plan co-marketing efforts to generate greater awareness and drive conversion to Sands China’s properties. The partnership will also involve creating customised products and experiences to attract high-value guests from overseas to travel to Macao.
Additionally, Agoda will launch a new function on its platforms to drive flight cross-selling to Sands China’s properties, aiming to further enhance travel offerings. Beyond these initiatives, the two parties will explore other mutually beneficial opportunities that leverage both parties’ combined resources and capabilities.
Kris Kaminsky, senior vice president of hotel operations, Sands China, said: “We are thrilled to have cemented this meaningful agreement with Agoda. As visionary companies in our respective industries, we believe that we can make a positive impact on Macau’s tourism economy, and this is a further demonstration of Sands China’s commitment to supporting the various tourism+ initiatives and increasing diversification of visitor source markets.”
Andrew Smith, SVP of supply, Agoda, said: “At Agoda, our goal is to simplify travel booking and enhance convenience for our users. With just a click of a button, travellers can access everything they need, from accommodations and flights to food and beverage options, and activities. We are excited that, through this partnership, we can provide visitors to Sands China’s properties the opportunity to experience the unique attractions of Macau and see the world for less.”
