Retail media platform reo has appointed former Cartology sales leader Renae Usher as its new director of sales, as the oOh!media-owned business ramps up its expansion into high street retail partnerships.
Usher joins following a string of deals with major retailers including Petbarn, Officeworks and Australia Post. reo says more announcements are imminent as it moves to broaden its footprint across Australia and New Zealand.
With more than 13 years of experience in retail media and digital sales, Usher spent the past three years at Cartology, leading omnichannel activations for FMCG giants such as Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, Nestlé, Mondelez and Mars Wrigley. She has also held senior commercial roles at Nine and Fairfax.
Andrew Every, chief strategy and retail media officer at oOh!media, said Usher’s appointment signals reo’s intent to scale quickly: “She has proven experience in scaling retail media networks and collaborating with retailers and brand partners. Her sales leadership will be instrumental in helping shape the next evolution of retail media.”
In the newly created role, Usher will lead reo’s sales team and revenue strategy, working with brand partners to deliver campaigns across in-store, online and off-site inventory.
“Over the past three years at Cartology, I’ve had a front row seat to the growth of retail media,” Usher said. “What drew me to reo is the ability to move at pace and build something truly new. There’s incredible untapped potential beyond the big supermarkets, and reo is uniquely positioned to unlock that.”
