REA Group has appointed former Afterpay executive Katrina Konstas as chief commercial and marketing officer, handing her responsibility for sales, marketing and audience across the group.
Konstas will join REA’s executive leadership team when she starts in the role on 1 September 2026.
She joins REA after more than 20 years leading sales and marketing teams, most recently as country manager, EVP and head of sales, APAC at Afterpay.
Before Afterpay, Konstas held senior sales, business strategy and marketing roles at American Express.
REA Group CEO Cameron McIntyre said Konstas’ experience across commercial growth, customer outcomes and regulated markets would be valuable as the business continues to grow.
“Following an extensive executive search, I am delighted to welcome Katrina to REA Group and I look forward to her impact as we continue to deliver for our customers and consumers,” McIntyre said.
“Katrina has a track record of successfully balancing commercial and customer outcomes at scale in complex regulated environments and I have no doubt her wealth of experience will be invaluable at REA.”
Konstas will be based in Sydney and will travel regularly to connect with REA’s teams and customers.
“I’m thrilled to be joining REA and stepping into such an exciting role at this pivotal time for the industry,” Konstas said.
“I’m looking forward to meeting with customers in the coming months and better understanding how REA can continue to support them with leading products and services as their trusted partner.”
Konstas replaces Kul Singh, who is leaving REA in August to take up a new external opportunity.
McIntyre thanked Singh for his contribution to the business over more than a decade.
“Kul has been an integral part of this business for over a decade and has led significant customer and commercial growth,” McIntyre said.
“On behalf of REA, I want to thank him for his leadership, his commitment to our customers and his advocacy for better housing outcomes, and we wish him every success in his next role.
“Kul shared his decision with me earlier this year and I’m grateful we have been able to work together on a thoughtful transition to ensure continuity for our people, customers and partners.”
