PURE and Gleneagles HK join forces to bridge fitness and healthcare

PURE Group and Gleneagles Hong Kong have partnered to establish an integrated wellness and medical ecosystem that combines fitness and healthcare services.

The partnership is grounded in the view that ageing is not a fixed decline, but a process influenced by a person's mindset, habits, and social connections. To a large extent, it can be shaped through intentional choices. The focus is on helping people view daily health decisions as long-term investments in their future wellbeing.

The partnership comes at a time when more people are facing stress, burnout, poor metabolic health, and lifestyle-related conditions, while also becoming more discerning about preventative and personalised health solutions.

The collaboration, named "Project healthspan", aims to help people not just live longer, but live better for longer - focusing on maximising healthspan, energy, recovery and long-term wellbeing, rather than simply treating illness after it happens.

The first programme launching under the partnership will focus on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), named as “The metabolic blueprint”, which is an exclusive 14-day programme that uses CGM to reveal how participants’ unique body responds to food, exercise, stress and sleep.

Combining Gleneagles’ clinical expertise with PURE’s specialists in movement, nutrition and recovery, the programme translates their real-time data into practical, personalised guidance and health advice that help the participants eat smarter, train more effectively, recover better and build healthier habits.

The result is a personalised blueprint based on how their body works - cutting through conflicting wellness advice to help them improve their energy, metabolic health, performance and long-term wellbeing.

Combining medical-grade diagnostics with wellness coaching, personal training and practical lifestyle guidance, the programme is designed to help people better understand their bodies and make smarter everyday decisions around health and wellbeing.

Yet both brands emphasise that this is just the starting point. Their longer-term vision encompasses a broader ecosystem of integrated preventative health, fitness, and wellness solutions aimed at helping people enhance not only their lifespan but also their overall quality of life.

Rey Bolivar, managing director of PURE Group, said: “People today are looking for more connected answers to their health. You might get medical advice in one place, fitness advice somewhere else, and recovery support somewhere else again. We believe the future is much more integrated.”

Kenneth Tsang, regional chief executive officer of IHH Healthcare North Asia and chief executive officer of Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong, said: “We are committed to providing world-class and personalised healthcare, ensuring that the best support is offered at every stage of people’s health journey. We are excited about this unique partnership which will empower participants to manage their health proactively and adopt meaningful changes for better overall well-being.”

In addition to its healthcare offerings, PURE Group has been pursuing partnerships that bridge performance and wellness. Back in January, PURE Fitness partnered with Hong Kong Ballet on "You are more than you know," an initiative that explored the common ground between athletic performance and holistic wellbeing.

As part of the partnership, Hong Kong Ballet dancers can gain full access to PURE Fitness, PURE Yoga, and Re:set by PURE, supporting their training through integrated resources for strength, conditioning, mobility, and recovery.
