Publicis Groupe launches Shenzhen office to drive innovation

Publicis is reaffirming its commitment to China, opening an office in Shenzhen - its eighth location in Greater China.
Combining its "HI+AI" model and global network with Shenzhen's strength as a strategic innovation hub, Publicis will drive growth for businesses and institutions across the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Located in Qianhai, a special economic zone in Shenzhen set up by the Chinese and Hong Kong governments, the office is a strategic response to GBA’s integrated development, reinforcing the group’s presence in China.
This comes as the Publicis identified Shenzhen as home to a thriving startup ecosystem, a high concentration of listed companies and a critical mass of multinational corporations. This business landscape makes it an ideal location for the group's new hub.
The office will play a proactive role in elevating Shenzhen’s city branding, leveraging the group’s global digital expertise to highlight the city’s innovation and technological strength, enhancing its international profile.
Built around the group’s "power of one" model, the Shenzhen office features an open and collaborative workspace designed to break down traditional silos, and foster agile and cross-functional teamwork.
This office will serve as a central node, closely linking resources across the group’s offices in Hong Kong and Guangzhou - dedicated to supporting both multinational companies in China and Chinese brands seeking global expansion.
The office is built on three core pillars designed to ensure tangible business outcomes for clients, including HI+AI-powered solutions; local insights and network synergy.
As part of the new move, the office will fully integrate Publicis' global AI platforms, including CoreAI and connected identity. Both are combined with the human oversight (HI) to drive a full spectrum of services, including digital marketing, creative storytelling, public relations and digital transformation.
The team said it will provide nuanced understanding of local and regional markets to inform effective, localised strategies. As part of Greater China’s ecosystem, the Shenzhen team will tap into the group’s worldwide resources under its "power of one" model, ensuring swift and effective execution for clients across all markets.
By combining the "HI+AI" model with its global network, the Shenzhen office is committed to becoming a full-cycle partner for clients’ business growth. The new office will drive growth for Shenzhen’s key industries with integrated marketing solutions that deliver both brand impact and tangible results.
Concurrently, it will act as a strategic launchpad for Chinese brands going global. The office provides end-to-end support—from brand strategy and market entry to localized content creation and global media placement—to empower them to become international leaders.
Jane Lin-Baden (pictured), CEO of Publicis Asia Pacific and China, said the Shenzhen office serves as a: "Strategic gateway , founded on a dual mission to empower Chinese brands in their global expansion through our extensive network and to enable international clients to capture the dynamic opportunities within the Greater Bay Area."
"Our integrated teams from Hong Kong and mainland China will collaborate seamlessly to deliver unique, cross-border solutions for our clients. Furthermore, by establishing our presence in Shenzhen – a central hub for technology – we are injecting strong momentum into Publicis' AI strategy, providing it with sustained talent, ecosystem, and innovation resources," she added.
