Prudential partners with Nova and KOS International to nab talent via a one-stop service platform

Prudential Hong Kong, Nova Credit China Holdings and human resources and recruitment services provider KOS International have formed a three-way cross-sector business collaboration to promote a one-stop talent acquisition service platform for recruitment of high-calibre insurance professionals, supporting Prudential’s strategic business development in Hong Kong.

It comes as Hong Kong government encouraged insurers to grasp opportunities under China's “dual circulation” strategy, while stressing the importance of overseas connectivity of insurance talent, technology and data, as well as growing international ties. The collaboration aligns with the government’s goal of attracting overseas talents to transform Hong Kong into a sophisticated and well-equipped international insurance hub.

Available positions in Prudential’s agency force such as branch manager, business manager and regional director, will be listed on the talent platform. Upon nomination by Prudential’s regional directors, applicants need to register for an account on the platform and apply for their desired positions. Meanwhile, KOS International will be entrusted with the one-stop follow-up work related to the application process for the top talent pass scheme launched by The Immigration Department. Talent can also search, browse and apply for the current openings at Prudential to pursue careers which they are suitably skilled and are passionate about.

Successful applicants can benefit from a series of services to help them quickly acclimate in Hong Kong, such as applying for medical insurance and getting access to training services offered by participating organisations. This one-stop service aims to accelerate the integration of new talent into work and life in Hong Kong by making all these preparations even before their arrival. 

Furthermore, Prudential is looking to hire an additional 4,000 financial consultants in Hong Kong this year to serve the growing demand from customers in Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland.

As Prudential has always put heavy emphasis on talent acquisition and development, the company hopes this new business collaboration will not only accelerate our acquisition of insurance talent to harness post-pandemic development opportunities, but will also help it grow its thriving, future-ready agency force to fulfil the evolving needs of customers, according to Benny Tsoi, chief agency officer of Prudential Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, Samuel Ho (pictured right), chief executive officer of Nova Credit, said: “As a pioneer in fintech, Nova’s industry-first collaboration with Prudential is a great opportunity to leverage our competitive advantages in innovative technology, information risk management, and smart data analysis technology, to support new talent integrating into Hong Kong’s job market.”  

Eric Ng (pictured right), chief strategy officer of KOS International, said: “In the past, recruiting from outside of Hong Kong involved cumbersome documentations and application processes, which often demotivated talent from developing their professional careers here. Through this tripartite business collaboration, we expect it to shorten the entire recruitment process to between six and eight weeks. We believe this will increase our success rate recruiting top talents to work in Hong Kong.”
