Payments Network Malaysia (PayNet) is looking for a media agency to support its full-funnel media planning and execution.
The appointed agency will handle brand awareness, product education including cross-border initiatives, and amplify refreshed DuitNow and QR point-of-sale materials.
The contract’s scope covers digital, social, TV, radio, and out-of-home channels. It requires a dedicated team for nationwide campaigns, including rural or regional outreach.

The proposal deadline is 6 June 2025, 3:00pm. Interested agencies must register their interest by 28 May, 3:00pm, to be eligible.
According to the RFP, bidders must be registered in Malaysia, have at least five years’ experience in media planning and buying, and demonstrate financial strength with a minimum positive net worth. They must also provide a listing of media contacts.
Familiarity with financial services, digital payments, or public awareness campaigns will be an advantage.
PayNet is Malaysia’s national payments network and shared infrastructure for financial markets. Bank Negara Malaysia is its largest shareholder, alongside major banks such as Maybank, RHB, CIMB, and Public Bank.
Key services under PayNet include interbank GIRO, JomPAY, MyDebit, FPX, and DuitNow instant payments.
Recently, PayNet partnered with the Fintech Association of Malaysia to launch the PayNet Fintech Hub, a fintech community and accelerator designed to boost innovation and growth in the sector. Alibaba Cloud is a cloud partner for the hub, providing startups with capital access and industry connections.
Malaysia’s media pitch scene has been active. Earlier this year, RHB appointed IPG Mediabrands' bespoke unit Azure as its media partner, while Lotus Cars Malaysia (LCM) chose NP Digital for its paid media needs. TCP Red Bull Malaysia also recently appointed Universal McCann as its media agency.
