Hong Kong-based electronic payment solutions provider Payment Asia has launched a marketing video ad introducing its new e-payment platform PA Pay. The video features actor Ling Man Lung, who shot to fame after being portrayed as an idealistic startup founder experiencing the cynicism of life in ViuTV’s recent hit series "In Geek We Trust".

Aiming to elevate the digital payment theme locally, the campaign is designed to educate both SMEs and local consumers in getting easier access to digital payment solutions, as Hong Kong is speeding up to enter a contactless payment world under the pandemic.

Inspired by the role in the TV series, Ling was seen playing a successful entrepreneur in the video ad and explains how e-payment platforms can generate huge growth for SMEs and startups with the help of PA Pay, while eCommerce business in Asia continues to grow after the pandemic starts. Riding on the latest trend, Payment Asia provides tailor-made omnichannel payment solutions for enterprises.

At the end of the video, Ling raps about the advantages of the newly launched platform, such as users could opt out on annual or monthly fees during promotion period. In terms of promotional mediums, the video ad will broadcast through online, Payment Asia's Linkedin, Facebook and Instagram, and MTR TV channels. It will also be promoted on Ling's Instagram

The company also provides value-add services including digital marketing, e-commerce, logistics management, and others to meet the fast-changing needs of clients.

Lance Lau, Payment Asia’s head of sales (Hong Kong Team), said: “Online promotion in the last payment stage, it can lead to significant business growth. I am also expecting such a trend to grow with the latest consumption voucher launch in Hong Kong, targeting potential six million digital payment users in Hong Kong. We are excited to cooperate with Ling on the marketing video, and to let the mass audience understand how easy and inclusive digital payment can be.”

Founded in 1999, Payment Asia is committed to providing innovative and comprehensive payment solutions to clients and has served more than 10,000 local and overseas companies so far. The e-commerce market has reached a considerable size since the pandemic. Payment Asia is using its rich experience to help brickand-mortar merchants grow their online business, and grasp the trend of e-commerce in the era of social media and Web 3.0.

According to data from Statista Market Forecast, the size of Hong Kong's e-commerce market is expected to reach US$37.96 billion by 2025, while the total number of users exceeds 6 million, indicating huge potential.
