Panasonic Philippines enlists tennis ace Alex Eala to front latest campaign

Panasonic Philippines has partnered with Filipino tennis star Alex Eala as the brand looks to connect its Japanese heritage and home technology with the everyday routines that underpin high performance.
The partnership places Eala at the centre of Panasonic’s latest ‘True Japanese excellence’ platform, which positions excellence not simply as a result, but as something built through thoughtful choices, consistency and attention to detail.
“We know great achievements come from small, consistent habits. Backed by a century of Japanese excellence, our technology quietly supports your daily routine so you can focus on what matters most,” Panasonic said in campaign materials.

The campaign follows Eala through routines beyond the tennis court, highlighting how food preparation, laundry and recovery contribute to her preparation for competition.
Under the campaign’s “Every goal starts at the table” theme, Panasonic highlights Eala’s approach to selecting fresh ingredients and preparing balanced meals as part of her daily discipline. Its Prime Fresh refrigerator technology is positioned as supporting this routine by helping ingredients remain fresh for home-cooked meals.
The partnership then moves from nutrition to training and recovery. Panasonic showcases its CARE+ laundry technology, including Max AirDry, Blue Ag+ and AutoDose, as tools designed to simplify laundry routines and allow more time for other priorities.
Recovery forms another pillar of the campaign, with Panasonic linking a clean and comfortable home environment to Eala’s ability to recharge after training. Its nanoe™ X technology is highlighted for its ability to inhibit bacteria, viruses and allergens in indoor spaces.
The campaign reflects Panasonic’s broader positioning around “thoughtful care mastered through time”, with the brand drawing on its century-long Japanese heritage while presenting its technology through the lens of contemporary Filipino lifestyles.
In a social media post, Panasonic Philippines said: “Alex Eala reminds us that excellence is more than the victories. It's the commitment behind them.”
It added: “The thoughtfulness behind every choice. The care in every detail. The daily discipline to show up and give your best, not just for what matters now, but also for what comes next.”
Rather than focusing solely on her achievements on court, the campaign uses the tennis player’s habits to demonstrate how the brand’s appliances and technologies can fit into the less visible routines behind those achievements.
“That same pursuit has shaped Panasonic through a century of #TrueJapaneseExcellence, where our commitment is to not only achieve excellence, but continuously refine it through time,” Panasonic said.
Most recently, Eala was also named the face of Marriott Bonvoy’s Tennis The World campaign across Asia Pacific excluding China, giving members access to tennis-related experiences including major tournaments and courtside events. She became the first Filipino to win a WTA Tour singles title after claiming the 2026 Mubadala DC Open.
From AI-powered marketing and the friction economy to retention-led growth, DMA Philippines 2026 on 29 September in Manila will bring together marketers to tackle the opportunities and challenges shaping the next phase of digital transformation.
