oOh!media has expanded its Eastern Sydney presence with the launch of a digital street-furniture network across Waverley Council, converting all former classic sites into 106 digital screens ahead of the summer peak.
The upgrade includes 16 new premium consecutives and three large-format digital special-build sites at Bondi Junction and along Campbell Parade at Hall Street and Curlewis Street. The special-build locations allow brands to take full ownership of high-traffic beach precinct environments during the busiest months of the year.
The network features LED screens designed to support dynamic and real-time creative, with oOh! positioning the rollout as a boost for advertisers targeting the Bondi corridor, which can attract up to 50,000 people a day during summer.
Waverley’s new street furniture also incorporates sustainability features including 30 shelters with “Living Roofs” to reduce heat and improve biodiversity, 23 shelters with phone-charging stations, and three battery-hybrid shelters to help reduce carbon emissions.
Robbie Dery, chief commercial operating officer at oOh!media, said the Waverley update brings together digital capability, sustainability features and high-value audience concentration.
“Upgrading to a fully digital network with sustainable features shows how innovation can make public spaces better while delivering real value and impact for brands,” Dery said. “Waverley is one of Sydney’s most vibrant areas, with Bondi Beach alone attracting up to 50,000 people a day over summer. Living roofs, renewable power and hybrid shelters create engaging, high-quality environments and give brands a way to connect with locals and visitors through one of Australia’s most advanced Out of Home networks.”
The expansion adds 151 new outdoor panels across the Waverley and Woollahra areas to oOh!’s broader Eastern Suburbs portfolio. It follows last month’s launch of oOh!’s Beaches Network, which opened up advertising access across more than 100 coastal destinations nationwide including Bondi, Palm Beach, St Kilda, Suttons Beach, Glenelg and Cottesloe.
