Teaming up with Disney, OCBC has launched “Magical Moments,” a multifaceted campaign that brings beloved characters and narratives into the realm of financial services in Indonesia.
The initiative blends financial products with the cultural pull of Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars, aiming to forge stronger emotional ties with young families and millennial consumers. At the heart of the campaign are a new line of themed debit and credit cards.
Children under 17 can now hold OCBC’s Young Nyala Debit Card, decorated with colourful illustrations from Lilo & Stitch, Frozen, and Spider-Man. For adults, the Platinum Star Wars Credit Card features sleek lenticular designs starring Darth Vader and Yoda, appealing to a nostalgic yet financially active demographic.

But OCBC is not stopping at design. The bank is actively positioning itself at the intersection of lifestyle, entertainment, and financial literacy.
“Through Disney-themed products and events, OCBC looks to bring heartwarming moments and positivity into the world of finance,” said Johannes Husin (pictured, right), director of OCBC. “OCBC aims to create financial innovations that are joyful, relevant, and enrich our customers’ lifestyles.”
That ethos was on full display during A Magical Night of Music, an orchestral concert held on 14 June. The event featured a blend of cinematic nostalgia and live performance, with the Trust Orchestra (comprising musicians aged 10 to 35) taking the stage alongside regional star Christian Bautista, Indonesian songstress Bunga Citra Lestari, and rising talent Quinn Salman. The show offered a rich medley of Disney favourites - more immersive experience than mere concert.
“A Magical Night of Music was designed not only as a premium entertainment experience for families, but also as a tangible manifestation of the bank’s commitment to promoting #FUNanciallyfit, where a fun lifestyle can go together with healthy financial habits,” said Husin. “This orchestra is also a part of our appreciation for OCBC loyal customers and their families.”
The alignment between lifestyle spending and financial wellbeing is more than a tagline. According to OCBC’s 2024 Financial Fitness Index, while most Indonesians are now in the habit of saving regularly, nearly 39% do so for materialistic goals - concert tickets ranking high on that list. OCBC is choosing to meet consumers where they are, blending aspiration with access. As part of this, the bank offered complimentary tickets to the concert, rewarding customers without compromising its message of fiscal responsibility.
The experience-led approach continues with special ticket offers for upcoming shows. Starting 14 June, OCBC cardholders will enjoy exclusive privileges for Disney Jr. Live on Tour: Let's Play! in Jakarta. Designed for families with young children, the show will feature fan-favourite characters in a format that’s both interactive and theatrical.
Also coming this September and October are Beauty and the Beast in Concert and The Lion King Live in Concert, presented by Ciputra Artpreneur. These cinematic experiences - backed by live orchestras - promise a multisensory retelling of Disney’s most enduring stories. Again, OCBC customers will receive special access.
Founded in 1941 and renamed ‘OCBC’ in November 2023, the bank now operates across 54 Indonesian cities with a strong presence in both physical and digital channels.
