Creative marketing and corporate production house Now Comms Asia has appointed Joe Sen (pictured) as its new group managing director.

As group managing director, Sen will spearhead regional operations across Asia Pacific and Japan, with a focus on Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan and Indonesia.

In his new role, Sen will aim to drive growth and strategic excellence, as well as solidify Now Comms Asia's position as a top-tier creative agency in the region. In addition, his role will encompass an enhancement of service delivery quality to help foster stronger client relationships and cast out a comprehensive intergroup strategy that will ensure the delivery of marketing services of the company.

"Anyone who knows Sen recognises his unique approach to driving growth - a #kindadifferent marketing leader. As a commercially minded strategist he is the perfect person to lead the company on its next level of expansion in the region. I’m excited to give this opportunity to such a brilliant mind and incredibly happy that he has accepted the position, stepping up from the strategy roles he proved himself in to take the helm and steer our business.” said, Andrew McArthur-Edwards, group CEO of Now Comms Asia.

"Now Comms Asia has a strong foundation of delivering exceptional brand experiences that drive business results. Our clients continue to seek our agility and expertise in connecting with their customers across an increasingly complex landscape. I am excited to be joining the team at a time of great change, bringing a strategic lens to the next stage of our growth," said Sen.

Sen has a robust background in crafting and executing successful marketing strategies for the world's top brands.

Prior to joining Now Comms Asia, Sen was the global sales and innovation lead at Zinc Group where he was responsible for four major global alignment areas including sales, marketing, innovation and strategy.

He also served multiple roles across various agencies including regional head of strategy at Media.Monks, chief strategy officer of Singapore at Dentsu Aegis Network and head of strategy of APAC at Dentsu X.

Sen's experience expands outside of Singapore, having taken on the roles of director of content strategy at TBWA Kuala Lumpur and director of business strategy at PopDigital amongst many others.

Sen is not the only newly appointed group managing director in the little red dot. Last week, PR agency Golin appointed Rafidah Rashid as its new group managing director.

In this new role, Rafidah will be providing centralised leadership and strategic direction.

Before she was appointed as the group managing director, Rafidah was the managing director of consumer. With more than 13 years of marketing communications experience, she has worked across various sectors of beauty, lifestyle, education and entertainment.
