MiQ and OzTAM have announced a data partnership that will see OzTAM’s VOZ currency data ingested into MiQ’s cross platform tool, TVi.
MiQ said the partnership will significantly enhance cross-platform media planning and optimisation for Australian advertisers. TVi is housed within MiQ’s recently launched Sigma platform, which the company bills as the world’s first AI platform to unify the programmatic ecosystem. Sigma connects some 300 data feeds and 700 trillion consumer signals across viewing, browsing and buying behaviours.
Fiona Roberts, MiQ ANZ managing director, said VOZ data was “the gold standard” for media currency in Australia, making the OzTAM partnership essential for Sigma’s local rollout.
“Through this partnership, MiQ will be able to provide planning and measurement along with a single platform perspective of viewership across linear, BVOD, streaming and YouTube,” Roberts said. “All driving through to activation in multiple DSPs via MiQ’s Sigma platform.”
OzTAM CEO Karen Halligan said the integration supports the company’s broader mission to make VOZ data widely accessible across industry tools.
“This local integration with MiQ’s global Sigma tool is another step towards ensuring agencies and advertisers can work as efficiently as possible, with consistent, independent audience data,” Halligan said. “It aligns with our mission of collaborating with industry partners, and follows our recent innovations including a partnership with Netflix and the launch of VOZ Streaming.”
VOZ became Australia’s official Total TV trading currency in December 2024. The Sigma integration will go live for clients in Q4 2025.
Separately, MiQ announced the appointment of Paul Bates as group account director in Victoria. He will lead the Victorian sales team and report into MiQ ANZ chief revenue officer Chris Freel. Bates brings more than 25 years of experience across digital media, agency sales and strategic partnerships. He’s held senior roles at REA Group, Yahoo7, Fairfax Media, and most recently served as commercial director at Broadsheet Media.
