Chinese cheese brand Milkground (妙可藍多) has entered into a strategic partnership with DKSH Business Unit Consumer Goods to bring its cheese portfolio to Hong Kong, tapping into the rising demand for premium dairy products across the region.

The collaboration combines Milkground’s product innovation capabilities with DKSH’s market expertise and extensive distribution network, creating a platform for long-term growth in Hong Kong and beyond.

DKSH is selected for its track record in helping consumer brands enter and grow in Asia, supported by its market expertise, distribution network and relationships across retail and food service channels. Leveraging DKSH’s extensive market expertise, sales capabilities, and distribution network, the partnership will support Milkground’s entry into Hong Kong and lay the foundation for future growth opportunities in the region.

Through close collaboration with DKSH, Milkground aims to expand its portfolio in Hong Kong, better understand local consumer needs, and provide a wider range of quality cheese products. The company sees Hong Kong as an important platform for sustainable growth and future expansion across the region.

The collaboration will initially focus on expanding Milkground’s presence in Hong Kong’s retail market, with plans to explore opportunities in food service and, over time, additional markets across Asia through DKSH’s regional network.

Beyond Hong Kong, the city serves as a strategic gateway connecting Mainland China with the wider Asia-Pacific region. Milkground views its presence in Hong Kong as an important step in its broader international development strategy and looks forward to exploring additional growth opportunities across the region together with DKSH.

Hugo Reyes, DKSH vice president, fast-moving consumer goods, Greater China, said: “Milkground has established a strong reputation in China for quality, nutrition, and innovation. As consumers across Asia increasingly seek nutritious snacking options, trusted premium brands, and family-oriented food solutions, we see significant opportunities for Milkground’s portfolio.”

“Through DKSH’s market expertise, extensive distribution network, and end-to-end capabilities, we look forward to supporting the brand’s growth in Hong Kong and beyond. Milkground’s close collaboration with Mengniu also provides a strong foundation in product development and supply chain capabilities, creating opportunities to bring innovative dairy products to more consumers across the region over time,” Reyes added.

Kuai Yulong, president of Milkground, said: “Hong Kong is one of Asia’s most dynamic and internationally connected consumer markets, making it a natural starting point for our international expansion. Together with DKSH, we look forward to bringing our products to more consumers and growing our presence in the market.”

Controlled by Mengniu under COFCO, Milkground operates as a dual-brand cheese platform encompassing both the Milkground and Mengniu Cheese brands. Headquartered in Shanghai, its product range spans ready-to-eat nutrition, family cheese, and foodservice and industrial series.
