Meta has appointed Dhruv Vohra as managing director, global business group, Southeast Asia, taking charge of its commercial business across the region.
Based in Singapore, Vohra will oversee Meta’s commercial strategy across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, reporting to Benjamin Joe, vice president for Asia Pacific.
His appointment comes as businesses across Southeast Asia increasingly use social platforms, messaging and AI to reach consumers and drive commerce.

Vohra brings experience across eCommerce, digital natives and small and medium businesses, having spent more than seven years at Meta working with businesses across the region and Asia Pacific.
He joined Meta in 2019 as director and head of sales for eCommerce and digital natives, working with businesses in a sector that has played a significant role in the region’s digital commerce growth. He went on to become managing director of Meta Business Group for the mid-market segment in Southeast Asia in 2021, before taking on his current role as managing director of Meta’s SMB Group for Asia Pacific in 2023.
Prior to Meta, Vohra spent more than eight years at Google. He joined the company in India in 2011 as industry manager for multi-sector businesses, before moving into roles covering domestic businesses in Singapore and technology and telecommunications in Southeast Asia. He later became industry lead for apps, commerce and entertainment across Asia Pacific.
“Southeast Asia is one of Meta's fastest-growing business regions, and the work ahead is helping businesses leverage AI and messaging at the pace their customers already expect,” Joe said.
“Vohra has spent seven years close to those businesses, and he has built the teams that support millions of them. He is the right person for this next phase," he added.
Speaking on his appointment, Vohra said “Southeast Asia is one of the most dynamic and creative regions in the world. Trends such as business messaging and live shopping found early adopters here."
"No two markets here behave the same way, and the businesses growing fastest here have outgrown the borders they started in. AI has opened up even more possibilities,” he added.
The appointment comes as Meta undergoes broader leadership changes in the region. In August, Sandhya Devanathan announced that she would leave Meta after more than a decade with the company. She had served as vice president for India and Southeast Asia since June 2025, following leadership roles spanning India, Southeast Asia, eCommerce and gaming.
Devanathan joined Meta in Singapore in 2016, having previously spent more than 15 years in financial services at Citi and Standard Chartered. Her tenure at Meta coincided with the growing role of social platforms in marketing, commerce and business growth across Southeast Asia and India.
