Marriott International has appointed marketing and communications firm CatchOn – a Finn Partners company as the lead public relations and communications agency for its luxury portfolio in the APAC region excluding China.
The portfolio to be managed by CatchOn comprises existing and soon-to-open properties under the Marriott International luxury brands across the region which include The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, W Hotels, JW Marriott, and The Luxury Collection.

Marriott has nearly 500 luxury hotels and resorts worldwide, 156 of which are in the region. The Group plans to open more luxury properties within the year, including The Ritz-Carlton in Melbourne and Fukuoka, JW Marriott in Jeju Island, South Korea and Goa, India, and expanding W Hotels in Sydney and Macau.
CatchOn, with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, is specialised in brand development, marketing communications, market research, public relations and digital. In 2019, the agency joined Finn Partners with a global practice in travel, tourism and lifestyle marketing and PR. Finn’s global travel practice spans luxury travel brands, destinations, and hotel and wellness properties across three continents.
Back in 2021, CatchOn was named the agency of record for the Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC). HKDC is a non-governmental organisation that advocates for Hong Kong's position as a design leader in Asia.
CatchOn's duties included creating an "extensive PR and digital marketing strategy" for HKDC's annual flagship events, namely the upcoming Knowledge of Design Week, taking place 21 – 25 June 2021; and Business of Design Week, happening 29 November – 4 December 2021. They will also launch BODW+, a new online portal for both Knowledge of Design Week and Business of Design Week that will offer content and events for audiences interested in design. Finally, CatchOn will also execute the PR plan for HKDC's annual design awards, the DFA Awards.
