The finalists for the Marketing Events Awards 2023 by MARKETING-INTERACTIVE have been unveiled, and currently, the roster is openly available on the awards' website. Celebrating its 12th iteration, this edition of the awards showcases finalists hailing from diverse corners of South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Oceania regions.
Out of the 44 categories open for entry, this year preserved numerous favourably-received sections while also ushering in the addition of seven freshly crafted categories: ‘Best Event: More Than 500 Attendees’, ‘Best Event: 100 - 500 Attendees’, ‘Best Event: Less Than 100 Attendees’, ‘Best Hybrid Event (B2B)’, ‘Best Hybrid Event (B2C)’, ‘Best Use of Omnichannel for an Event’, and ‘Best Use of Sustainability’.
One agency and one brand will also have the extraordinary opportunity to boost their standing by attaining the prestigious titles of ‘Event Agency of the Year 2023' and ‘Event Marketer of the Year 2023’ respectively. These coveted accolades will be bestowed upon the entrants with the highest score among the winning entries.
The finalists of the Marketing Events Awards 2023 were handpicked by a panel of 26 senior marketing professionals spanning the region.
"Judging was an absolute privilege for me to have the opportunity to evaluate the captivating array of entries and bear witness to the extraordinary talent and boundless creativity demonstrated by the contestants," said jury member Andrea Leung, group general manager (marketing) of Sino Group. "Each submission served as a testament to the entrants’ unwavering dedication, innovative thinking, and strategic prowess that’s propelling the marketing industry forward. Adding on, Vynce Lim, head of marketing of Serba Wangi said that the entries covered significant "cutting-edge advancements" and "innovative marketing event solutions" and that judging them made for an enriching experience. "Given the after-pandemic recovery-period, on-ground physical events have been a challenge. It was my absolute pleasure to witness the exceptional level of talent, creativity, and innovation showcased by participants from diverse industries. This experience has reaffirmed my belief in the boundless potential of human ingenuity and that the marketing events have brought positive impacts to their communities,” she said.
Additionally, Arpit Srivastava, regional marketing and branding manager (South Asia, Thailand, and Middle East) of Lenzing Group highlighted that the exceptional quality and creativity showcased in this year's projects was "truly remarkable". It beautifully captured the essence of the normalcy and joy we've eagerly anticipated since the conclusion of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The winners of the 12th annual Marketing Events Awards will be announced at a live gala dinner and celebration in Singapore on the 8th of September 2023 at the Equarius Hotel.
