Macquarie University and The Daily Aus have taken their The Science Of Us content partnership offline with a live event exploring social connection and mental wellbeing among young Australians.
Developed with Spark Foundry Australia, the TDA IRL event brought young Australians together for a panel drawing on Macquarie University research into connection, belonging and wellbeing.
The event forms part of the broader The Science Of Us campaign, which aims to make social science research more accessible to younger audiences.
Macquarie University chief marketing officer Elizabeth Horbach said the partnership gave the university an opportunity to connect its academic research with young Australians.
“We know young Australians face a range of significant challenges, not least when it comes to their wellbeing, mental health and sense of connection,” Horbach said.
“This partnership represents a great opportunity to connect young Australians with each other, while providing them with real-world insights and practical actions they can take in their daily lives, backed by the very best research and academic expertise.”
The campaign will continue throughout Mental Health Month in October with social-first video explainers and content in The Daily Aus' The Deep Dive newsletter.
