To mark the launch of its newly reimagined HydroConquest collection, Longines has unveiled an immersive pop-up store at Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong.
Designed to spotlight the essence and distinctive features of the refreshed timepieces, the space invites visitors to experience the collection through an engaging five-senses journey.
Longines Thailand friend of the brand Mario Maurer, together with Hong Kong actor Carlos Chan, were among the first to step into the world of HydroConquest and embody its spirit of freedom and purposeful movement.
Inspired by maritime adventure, the HydroConquest pop-up reflects Longines’ signature understated elegance and mirrors the collection’s design language. The space offers a fresh perspective on the timepieces, guiding visitors through both their aesthetic appeal and technical refinements.
Upon entering, guests are transported into an immersive environment reminiscent of the dramatic coastline of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain – the backdrop of the HydroConquest campaign. Standing at the intersection of land and sea, visitors are immediately enveloped in an atmosphere shaped by Longines’ refined visual identity.
Passing beneath the brand’s iconic illuminated winged hourglass, the journey unfolds through a carefully choreographed five-senses experience: a subtle fragrance evoking a gentle summer sea breeze; a large-scale screen depicting waves crashing against rugged shores, paired with the sound of the ocean; textured walls recalling the colour and feel of coastal sand; and a specially crafted signature drink that refreshes the palate to complete the sensory narrative. From the watch displays to the spatial design, every detail is crafted to engage the senses and express the collection’s modern, elegant spirit of exploration.
For 2026, Longines introduces a comprehensively reimagined HydroConquest line featuring automatic models in two versatile sizes. The 39 mm and 42 mm stainless-steel cases offer contemporary proportions that balance presence with everyday wearability, while refined details across the collection underscore Longines’ commitment to horological excellence.
Maurer shared his excitement about returning to Hong Kong as a Longines friend of the brand and reconnecting with local fans. “The new HydroConquest combines Longines’ timeless elegance with a design that feels truly enduring. It’s a watch that can accompany me through sports, travel, and exploration, while transitioning seamlessly into more refined occasions—it’s something I can wear every day.”
Chan added, “The spirit behind the new HydroConquest—of exploration and pushing boundaries—is something we, as actors, deeply relate to. Moving between roles and real life, having a timepiece that adapts to every setting gives me a sense of confidence and composure, allowing me to embrace different challenges.”
