Lenzing Group's global digital brand marketing and communications head departs

Lenzing Group's head of global digital brand marketing and communications, Vincent Leung (pictured), has departed after eight years to launch a new Web3-focused venture.

As one of the only marketing global heads of any listed European/western company in Hong Kong, Leung owned the full scope of TENCEL's global digital marketing from strategy, execution, budget, to team management across all regions. That meant digital marketing campaign strategy and delivery, PR and communications, influencer and social media, SEO/SEM, omnichannel content marketing, and managing a tech stack spanning CRM, CMS, and social media management platforms.

During his tenure, he also spearheaded Lenzing’s digital marketing transformation, driving the adoption of predictive AI, generative AI, LLM integration and advanced A/B testing. The role involved close collaboration with leading fashion partners such as Levi's, Calvin Klein, Zara, Patagonia, GUESS and more.

In conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Leung said after eight years building and leading global digital brand marketing and communications for TENCEL at Lenzing Group, he feels like he's completed a full journey and it's time for a new chapter.

"I was recruited when the digital infrastructure was still in its early stages, and I'm leaving with a function that delivered millions of campaign reach, pioneered AI-driven marketing systems, and consistently drove year-on-year growth in digital brand awareness. It's the right time to bring that experience to a new challenge," he added.

He added that he is exploring the right next opportunity. "I'm excited to bring my experience to an organisation that matches the energy — ambitious about growth, serious about digital transformation, and ready to move boldly."

"In addition, I am co-founding an industry-leading innovative startup with a business partner in the Web3 space. We want to use blockchain and web3 technology to solve a problem in the entertainment industry space. Look forward to hearing from us in the Web3 community in the coming months. That's all I can say for now!"

While his successor is yet to be identified, a few colleagues in Austria's Lenzing HQ will help oversee global digital marketing and communications upcoming.
