Lancôme combines beauty and tech in flagship SG store, invites Girls’ Generation star Tiffany Young

Global luxury brand, Lancôme is combining beauty with retail tech with its first beauty technology physical flagship store at the heart of Orchard Road as a part of its ongoing #StrongisTheNewYoung campaign. The store features an immersive educational display with light projections to give consumers a glimpse into the brand's futuristic world of beauty technology. As a means to promote the opening of Lancôme's first beauty technology flagship store in Southeast Asia, the lead vocalist of the K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation, Tiffany Young, will be making a guest appearance at the media preview on 24 August, with special activities lined up during the event.

According to Lancôme, Young’s hard work and perseverance which had led her to become one of the most prominent K-Pop idols today make her an embodiment of strength as a modern, independent woman. Her image strongly aligns with Lancôme’s campaign tagline #StrongisTheNewYoung, making her a  fit as Lancôme’s celebrity guest for its first beauty technology flagship store, the brand said. 

As part of its #StrongisTheNewYoung campaign, Lancôme will also be featuring 50 inspiring women in Singapore across various professions, cultural and social backgrounds, to inspire, empower, and uplift their community to be stronger together.

These 50 women, who are in various life phases and seasons, will be asked to reveal their strengths in writing at Lancôme's Write Your Strength studio. The Write Your Strength studio will also be stationed at the flagship store, inviting people to participate in this campaign by sharing their strengths in the light-up writing booth. Customers will be able to download a GIF of this moment that has been captured and shared with them in order to spread their own empowering message to their community as well.

Although this will mark Lancôme’s first physical beauty technology flagship store in SEA, the brand had previously launched its first-ever virtual flagship pop-up store exclusive to Singapore, named Lancôme Advanced Génifique #LiveYourStrength virtual flagship. #LiveYourStrength was an immersive online retail experience that ran from 28 August to 20 September 2020. Targeted at females aged 25 to 45, the experience aimed to not only promote its product Lancôme Advanced Génifique but to dive deep into the science and ingredients behind it.
