British fashion designer Kim Jones OBE will launch the first global flagship for his newly established namesake label at Central Yards in Hong Kong in 2027.
The announcement marks a pivotal milestone for both Central Yards and the legendary designer. Jones’ decision to establish his brand's debut flagship in Hong Kong reflects his deep personal connection to the city and highlights its enduring position as a global creative capital.
Spanning approximately 4,000 square feet across two levels, the flagship will occupy one of five signature duplex concept maisons overlooking Victoria Harbour. The space will feature open terraces, internal staircases, and indoor-outdoor entrances, offering a tailored architectural canvas that embodies the artistic vision and evolution of the new label.
Set to launch its first phase in 2027, Central Yards will introduce approximately 300,000 square feet of retail space, bringing together around 100 curated first-to-market fashion, lifestyle, and inventive dining concepts. Designed to redefine urban retail through an art- and design-led approach, the district features a promenade-led, street-like layout connecting indoor and outdoor environments across the Ground Floor to Level Three.
Designed by renowned architecture firm AL_A, the project is anchored by the design themes of “Sea, Land, and Sky.” Incorporating sustainable materials, the design takes inspiration from the undulating waves of Victoria Harbour, abstract greenery from the development, and a dramatic central atrium that brings a poetic skylight indoors.
Conceived under the guiding ethos of "The Bridge," Central Yards aims to seamlessly connect Central’s key business hubs, IFC Mall, and the harbourfront. Alongside retail, the landmark development will host vibrant cultural programming, extensive open spaces, Hong Kong’s only private Broadway-caliber theatre, and 12 outdoor event venues designed for seasonal festivals, cultural markets, and pop-up installations.
Henderson Land's chairman Martin Lee Ka-shing, said: “For over half a century, Henderson Land has grown alongside Hong Kong. Central Yards is our love letter to the city that shaped us, creating Hong Kong’s longest groundscraper and Central’s most sustainable district.” He added, “Across 300,000 square feet in Phase One Retail, open-air boulevards, lush sky gardens, and world-class gastronomy weave together to create a destination with soul, where nature, culture, and human connection meet seamlessly.
"Welcoming Kim Jones’ inaugural global flagship is more than a milestone. As a visionary bridging street culture and high fashion, his presence is a powerful vote of confidence in Hong Kong’s standing as a global creative capital. We look forward to welcoming you to Central Yards, where the future of modern luxury is reimagined," he said.
“I’ve always been interested in the relationship between fashion, art and architecture, and how those disciplines can inform one another. Hong Kong is a city I know well, and opening our first flagship at Central Yards gives us an opportunity to explore those ideas in a new context. I’m looking forward to developing a space that reflects the identity of the label and how I want it to evolve," said Kim Jones OBE.
