Kicker Communications has strengthened its Sydney team with the appointment of Stephanie Ryan as client director, bringing some 20 years of experience across tech, health and consumer brands.
Ryan previously led communications for Intel Australia and New Zealand and Medtronic, and earlier held agency roles working across integrated programs and major product launches. In her new role she will lead PR strategy, advise senior executives and support new business development.
Kicker has also hired Christopher Kane and Alexandra Rutter as consultants following the agency’s paid internship program, which has drawn more than 20 students from universities across Australia.
The appointments come as Kicker reports continued momentum across its technology and innovation client base. Recent wins include a global AI-driven data management provider, JCDecaux, Cicada Innovations, OneMRI and TRUCK TECH.
Ryan said she was excited to join an agency focused on emerging technologies and high-growth sectors.
“Joining Kicker is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a team working with clients at the forefront of new technologies and solutions and to help ensure their stories continue to make headlines,” she said.
Foo said the trio bring a mix of senior counsel and emerging talent.
“It’s great to have someone of Stephanie’s calibre join us at a time when we’re enjoying strong growth with multiple new and exciting clients. She has excellent media relationships along with extensive global experience, which is ideal for our portfolio,” Foo said.
“Having Chris and Alexandra to strengthen the team is another win – they have both been outstanding as interns, and we look forward to helping them progress their careers as future communications leaders.”
