JETCO appoints new CEO to support member banks' business growth

The Board of Joint Electronic Teller Services (JETCO) has appointed Yvonne Che as new CEO to further support the company's member banks in growing their business.

Back in 2019, Che joined JETCO as chief information officer, applying her information technology experience in the banking and finance sector. Prior to that, Che held senior IT positions in various financial institutions, including Dah Sing Bank, DBS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Peregrine Investment Holdings and Jardine Fleming Group. Che will continue to focus on developing and strengthening JETCO’s technology services for the banking and finance sector in her new position.

Angus Choi, the company’s previous CEO has decided to step down to pursue another interest. Under Choi's seven-year of tenure, JETCO has transformed from ATM switching network operator to a fintech solution provider, delivering innovative and secure financial technology services to member banks in Hong Kong and Macau, including Hong Kong’s first open banking API exchange platform, JETCO APIX.

Che said, “By leveraging the unique strengths of our well-established cross-bank infrastructure and JETCO APIX, JETCO will support the industry in moving to the open banking era and codeveloping more digital products and services to meet the increasing demand for fintech services from local enterprises and consumers.”

Mary Lo, chairman of the Board of JETCO said she is delighted with the appointment of Yvonne as CEO, “She is a proven leader with a wealth of experience and skills in fintech. She added.

Lo also thanked Angus for his significant contribution to JETCO, helping to expand the company’s offerings and leading its digital transformation over the years.
