Income Insurance brings two strangers together in first-ever travel show

Income Insurance has brought together two strangers with very different travel experiences for its first-ever travel show, Worlds Apart, created in partnership with Leo Singapore and Very Crafty Films.

The five-part series follows travel content creator Jerome, who has visited more than 40 countries, and Delvina, a 30-year-old Singaporean embarking on her first overseas trip after years of dreaming about seeing the world.

Together, the pair travel through China on the same itinerary, but experience each destination through very different eyes. For Jerome, unfamiliar places bring the thrill of discovering something new. For Delvina, even everyday moments such as navigating foreign streets and witnessing her first sunrise abroad become significant milestones.

The contrast between the two travellers forms the heart of the series, showing how the same destination can create vastly different experiences depending on who is seeing it.

For Delvina, the journey carries particular significance. Having spent most of her life in Singapore, travelling overseas had remained a distant ambition due to time and financial constraints. Her first trip abroad therefore marks more than simply a holiday, as she gets to experience something she had long imagined but never thought was within reach.

Produced as the latest chapter of Income Insurance's "Happy Travellers" platform, Worlds Apart aims to explore the different ways people discover and connect with the world, while highlighting the unexpected disruptions that can affect any trip.

The campaign also ties the travel experience back to Income Insurance's travel insurance offering, which includes coverage for travel and baggage delays, as well as an option that allows customers to cancel, postpone or shorten a trip for any reason, subject to terms and conditions.

“What drew us to Delvina and Jerome’s story was the reminder that travel isn’t measured by how many places you’ve visited, but by how deeply you experience them,” said Dhiren Amin, chief customer officer, Income Insurance.

“Through their contrasting perspectives, Worlds Apart celebrates curiosity, connection and the joy of discovering something new. We hope it inspires more people to embrace travel with confidence, knowing they have the protection and peace of mind to focus on the moments that truly matter," he added.

Asheen Naidu, group executive creative director, Leo Singapore, said: “The same world, seen through different eyes, becomes something entirely new. Delvina and Jerome’s journey captured the true freedom and joy of travel when you know you’re covered for whatever comes your way.”

The series is now available on Income Insurance's YouTube channel and StarHub TV+, with shorter social and digital content planned across platforms.

Worlds Apart continues Income Insurance's broader collaboration with Leo Singapore, which has seen the insurer use more emotionally led storytelling to bring its insurance offerings to life. In its recent Enhanced Home Insurance campaign, the partners shifted the focus from the physical home to the memories and experiences associated with it, using a brand film centred on a woman returning to her childhood home.
