IKEA Australia’s head of marketing and insights, Kirsten Hasler, is set to leave the business after more than 14 years.
Hasler, who has held the top marketing role since 2022, later expanding her remit to include customer and consumer insights across the region, will leave the business in September 2026.
During her tenure, she led key initiatives including IKEA’s 50 Years integrated campaign and the brand’s entry into the New Zealand market in 2025. In a statement to Marketing-Interactive, Hasler said she was proud of the work the team had achieved.

“I'm thankful for the growth opportunities I've had at IKEA and am so proud of what the marketing team has achieved over the last few years," she said. "Celebrating 50 years in Australia and launching in NZ last year were the absolute highlights. It's now time for me to take on a new challenge outside of the big blue box,” Hasler said.
An IKEA Australia and New Zealand spokesperson said Hasler had made a significant contribution to the business during a period of expansion and brand investment, highlighted most recently by the successful 50 Years integrated campaign and IKEA’s market entry into New Zealand, both in 2025.
“We thank Kirsten for her immense contribution to IKEA Australia and New Zealand. Her exceptional professionalism, commitment and her focus on developing people and delivering impactful marketing, has elevated IKEA externally as bold, innovative and a magnet for new talent.
“The high-performing team Kirsten has built stands as a testament to her leadership and care. We are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved and wish her the very best.”
