Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC)'s head of brand and digital marketing channels Florian Jungbauer (pictured) has departed to launch his own venture Revamont, aimed at redefining bespoke luxury travel for discerning, high-net-worth customers.
In conversation with MARKETING-INTERACTIVE, Jungbauer said his research revealed that high-performing executives and business owners have one major issue in common: they are time-poor and hence lack real opportunities to spend quality time and make meaningful connections with their inner circles, be it family, friends or fellow professionals.
"A critical expectation among affluent customers is uncompromising discretion and data privacy such as health issues, dietary restrictions, which often remains unmet."
"Revamont is born from this deep understanding of the needs and pain points of discerning, high-net-worth individuals and we address them by delivering extraordinary, bespoke experiences in the Alpine region, from Austria and Switzerland, to Italy, Germany and France."
Jungbauer is joined by four seasoned executives, including former HKJC executive manager Jacqueline Tsang, who are passionate about delivering upscale, intimate luxury travel experiences to HNWI. While Jungbauer and Tsang remain stationed in Hong Kong, their partners operate across Taiwan, Thailand and Switzerland.
"Revamont ensures every journey is tailored to the desires and preferences of its customers and flawlessly delivered through on-ground experience hosts who provide personalised, concierge-level service", he said. “To guarantee strict confidentiality and data protection, Revamont is incorporated in Switzerland, and all our servers are located in the country to provide enhanced data sovereignty under Swiss law."
Explaining the reason behind his departure from the HKJC, he said that after three years at the Club and over 15 years in corporate executive roles, he has decided to return to his entrepreneurial roots. "I have joined an extraordinary team of co-founders to redefine luxury travel for a discerning high-net-worth clientele," he said.
His departure from the club is both a personal and professional decision and he remains supportive of the Club, its profound purpose and the many teams that stand behind the organisation's success.
Jungbauer joined HKJC in 2022 and was tasked at looking holistically after the Club’s corporate brand strategy and marketing, content and digital marketing channels, the creative capabilities of the organisation, marketing technology, and partnerships including Manchester United.
He led the brand and digital marketing channels team, which consisted of several top performing teams made up of close to a hundred highly capable and experienced professionals.
