Digital healthcare firm, WhiteCoat, has officially opened its regional headquarters (HQ) in Singapore, according to a statement on the company's LinkedIn page.

Its new 8,000- square-feet space at One-North will drive its strategic direction for profitability, expansion and product and technology development. The headquarters will also serve as a hub to facilitate patient engagement and promote healthcare literacy across its markets.

In addition, the new HQ will play a central role in its push to create the region’s healthcare passport. "Users, armed with our app, will be able to see a doctor and access myriad quality healthcare services anytime, anywhere," it wrote in its statement.

The move comes shortly after the company launched its services in Indonesia and Vietnam.

“WhiteCoat’s 12 consecutive quarters of revenue growth is testament to a growing and sustained demand for digital healthcare and the access, quality and convenience which WhiteCoat brings," said Bryan Koh, the CEO and founder of WhiteCoat.

“Our regional aspirations are to bring our made-in-Singapore brand to the region, providing our users the same premium level of healthcare access regardless of where they are in Southeast Asia. We want to empower the region to take better care of their health by providing healthcare literally within their fingertips through a single touchpoint,” he continued.

The firm, which also operates in Indonesia, is planning to expand into new markets such as Malaysia and Thailand. They are also planning to offer new services, including specialist care and mental wellness services, according to Channel News Asia.

Desmond Lee, minister for national development and minister-in-charge of social services integration, graced the opening ceremony of the new HQ and said, "As a four-year-old tech enterprise, WhiteCoat is an example of how Singapore companies can tap on technological innovations and government initiatives to remain resilient amidst the challenges of an ever-changing world."

He added that during the pandemic, digital solutions made the difference in enabling Singaporeans to access healthcare and helped to relieve the strain on clinics and hospital infrastructure. He continued by saying that companies such as WhiteCoat were crucial to Singapore's efforts to offer medical services to Singaporeans quickly.
