Christian Louboutin has appointed PURPLE as its communications agency of record in Hong Kong, effective immediately. This follows a competitive pitch back in Q3 2025. 

Under the partnership, PURPLE handles all media, influencers and celebrities’ strategy and communication in Hong Kong as well as sample management and dressing.

PURPLE was chosen as it is a global communications agency, offering connected services across press, communications, social media, events, VIP, creative strategy, brand strategy and talent partnerships. It is also culturally fluent and hyper-connected to create maximum impact.

Christian Louboutin established his business in the heart of Paris in 1991, first with a collection of shoes for women followed by a men’s collection a few years later, both recognisable by the signature red lacquered sole.

While in 2022, the house extended its universe with the launch of Eyewear. With a prolific collection of shoes, leather goods, accessories, and now eyewear, Christian Louboutin counts more than 150 points of sales around the world.

Most recently, Christian Louboutin has appointed Jaden Smith as its first Men’s creative director, marking a significant milestone in the evolution of its men’s universe.

In this role, Jaden Smith will oversee the creation of four collections annually across men’s shoes, leather goods, and accessories, while shaping a distinctive visual and emotional universe that extends beyond product design to encompass campaigns, events, and immersive experiences.

Smith’s avant-premiere capsule will be available in January in select boutiques worldwide and on christianlouboutin.com, while his debut collection will be revealed during Men’s Fall/Winter 2026 Paris Fashion Week in January.
