Carlsberg has appointed Steven Wong (pictured) as its new marketing director for Hong Kong and Taiwan, reporting to Nathaniel Moxom, the company's managing director, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In his new role, Wong leads the marketing function across Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. He is responsible for driving sustainable portfolio growth, strengthening brand equity, accelerating innovation, and delivering consumer-led marketing strategies across the company's portfolio of international and local brands.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, he focuses on unlocking growth opportunities, enhancing consumer engagement, and supporting the company's long-term commercial ambitions. Wong currently leads a team of 13 across brand marketing, channel marketing and consumer insights in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.

Since assuming the marketing director role in April, Wong has focused on strengthening the company's premium and international brand portfolio while accelerating innovation and consumer engagement. He has worked closely with the team to sharpen portfolio priorities, strengthen brand-building capabilities and identify new growth opportunities across key brands.

These include celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Rugby Seven to strengthen Carlsberg's connection with premium sports and consumer passion points; 1664 French May partnership, Guinness International Stout Day campaign and Sapporo's 150th anniversary celebrations across Hong Kong.

Wong has been with Carlsberg for eight years. Prior to his current appointment, Wong led several regional initiatives across Asia, including the regional collaboration with Sapporo and the development of campaign assets and market activations supporting the brand. He also spearheaded innovation projects across the region, overseeing the development and testing of new innovations such as Battery and Landshark while partnering with local markets to unlock growth opportunities.

Wong said, "Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to work with markets across Asia on brand building, innovation and commercial development. Returning to Carlsberg Hong Kong in this new role feels like a full-circle moment for me. Bringing those learnings back to the local market has been incredibly rewarding, and together with the team, we're focused on strengthening our portfolio, accelerating innovation and creating more meaningful consumer experiences in our markets."
