Samsung Ads has appointed Carla Dawson as head of strategic marketing for Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia, as the company continues its expansion across the region.
Dawson joins from NBCUniversal, where she spent a decade leading brand and content marketing. In her new role, she will lead strategic initiatives focused on client growth, retention and engagement, tapping into Samsung Ads’ regional momentum and a growing portfolio of premium advertising clients.
“I’ve followed the evolution of Samsung Ads over the past few years, and it’s an exciting time to be joining the team,” Dawson said. “With a strong foundation already in place, I’m looking forward to building on that momentum by leveraging a blend of creative strategy and data-led marketing.”
The appointment comes as Samsung Ads also names Levi Guillory as agency head, strategic accounts for NSW and New Zealand. Guillory was most recently at Foxtel Media and News Corp, and will focus on deepening relationships with agency partners.
Samsung Ads managing director for Southeast Asia and Oceania, Alex Spurzem, said both appointments add experience to the team at a time when advertisers are seeking better outcomes on TV. “Carla and Levi’s leadership will not only strengthen our team as we deliver smarter capabilities for advertisers, but also ensure our clients’ campaigns are optimised to their fullest potential.”
