Canada Goose-themed Star Ferry sets sail in HK this CNY
share on
In celebration of its fifth anniversary in Hong Kong, performance luxury apparel brand Canada Goose has showcased distinctive brand elements on the iconic Star Ferry to continue its tradition of introducing innovative products.
Adorned with a red ribbon, symbolising the festive spirit, the Star Ferry pays homage to the iconic red Expedition Parka — an enduring symbol of the brand's functionality and durability.
The Expedition Parka has been rigorously tested and recognised worldwide as the pinnacle of outerwear, ensuring optimal performance in extreme environments. As the Star Ferry sails, the iconic Canada Goose logo flag flutters across the Victoria Harbour.
Another standout detail includes Canada Goose logo that is hand painted on both ends of the Star Ferry and the centre of the body. The logo features a compass and four renowned landmarks in the middle which includes New Siberian Islands, Severnaya Zemlya, Novaya Zemlya, and Svalbard.
These landmarks are surrounded by latitude and longitude lines, reminiscent of traditional Arctic maps. The overall design draws inspiration from the Arctic Circle and an aerial view of the North Pole, encapsulating the brand's origin.
Done in collaboration with Mediabrands Hong Kong, the Canada Goose-themed Star Ferry aims to offer locals as well as tourist a unique experience during the holiday across Lunar New Year.

Founded in 1957, Canada Goose has been upholding its commitment to "Made in Canada" craftsmanship, embodying the core values of keeping the planet cold and the people on it warm. The brand's dedication in providing weather protection to individuals in need empowers wearers to conquer challenges and embark on remarkable adventures, according to the release.
Back in September 2023, Canada Goose brought its community on a journey of female empowerment and individuality as it ventures, with Annie Leibovitz, to the rugged landscapes of New Mexico, the setting of its brand campaign.
"The Live in the Open" campaign celebrates three trailblazing women from the distinctly different worlds of cinematography, performance and sport. Interconnected by a relentless pursuit of purpose and the passion to be part of something bigger: actor, musician, writer and composer Sheila Atim, wildlife filmmaker and cinematographer Sophie Darlington and Olympic ice hockey goalie Kimberly Newell are captured in their element on the red hills of New Mexico.
