Burberry brings British summer to Taipei with Draft Land takeover

Burberry has brought a taste of British summer to Draft Land, transforming the neighborhood cocktail bar in Taipei into a social hub inspired by the city’s growing chess community and street culture.
Located in the Xinyi District, Draft Land received a complete makeover for the takeover, which runs through 30 August. The bar features Burberry’s iconic check pattern, reimagined in soft shades of green and gray across bar stools and countertops. Cocktails are served in bespoke glassware accompanied by napkins printed with the brand’s signature Equestrian Knight Design (EKD).
Paying homage to English afternoon tea culture, Burberry and Draft Land co-created a limited-edition cocktail titled the "Knight Pair." Blending quintessentially British flavours such as Earl Grey tea and apricot jam, the drink offers a refreshing spin on a classic summer fruit tea punch.
Out front, the seating area features British garden-style benches and custom Burberry chessboards, inviting guests to play or unwind in a relaxed summer atmosphere.
Taiwanese actress Lily Hsu and actor Zhan Huai-yun were among the first to visit the themed space. Hsu arrived in a Shell White cropped cotton Ladymoor jacket, paired with an Equestrian Knight polo shirt, a classic check pleated wool mini kilt, and a Bloomsbury calfskin bag styled with a teddy bear charm.
Zhan opted for a functional two-way zip jacket layered over a Sand Beige check polo and a striped cotton long-sleeve shirt, effortlessly blending utility with a clean, modern British aesthetic.
In addition to the food and beverage offerings, the venue features an interactive photo booth for guests to capture summer memories. Visitors who scan the on-site QR code and join Burberry’s official LINE account can redeem a limited-edition, British-inspired sticker set at the nearby Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A4 Burberry boutique, available while supplies last.

Recently in Hong Kong, Louis Vuitton celebrated its expanded Lee Gardens store with an exclusive cocktail experience helmed by Lorenzo Antinori, founder of Bar Leone.
While in Singapore, Ya Kun Kaya Toast collaborated with athletic apparel and footwear brand adidas to unveil "Raise a toast". The merchandise drop included vinyl heat-press graphic tees and hoodies as well as shoe charms and enamel pins inspired by Ya Kun menu items such as kaya butter toast, iced tea, soft boiled eggs.
Across the border, Malaysian coffee chain ZUS Coffee collaborated with local clothing brand Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC) to release a limited-edition collection in November last year. Most recently, McDonald's Singapore collaborated with screen printing company Konstrukt Laboratories to make its delectable fan-favourite McGriddles wearable.
