Aussie wellness brand BON CHARGE has signed Olympian and two-time world-record holder Neil Agius as its global ambassador, marking the company’s biggest sponsorship move to date as it looks to scale its international footprint in the recovery and wellness tech space.
The partnership will be tested in extreme conditions when Agius attempts The Gozo 7 from 31 August to 6 September, a world-first challenge to swim seven laps of Malta’s Gozo island in seven days. Covering 42 kilometres a day, the ultra-endurance feat will see Agius swim 294km in total, the equivalent of seven ocean marathons.
"Neil Agius is a force who exemplifies what we are capable of achieving, if we believe boldly," Andy Mant, CEO and co-founder of BON CHARGE, said. “As we continue to expand our market footprint as a global authority in wellness innovation, we’re building a community of people who embody our values and passion to simplify wellness with science-backed solutions."
Agius, who holds the record for the longest unassisted ocean swim at 142.3km, will use BON CHARGE’s products in his recovery regimen during the challenge. A team of scientists will track how his body responds to the stress and recovery cycle, with results feeding into the brand’s campaign to highlight its innovation credentials.
“The Gozo 7 will be the hardest test of my life,” Agius said. “The swim will push me to my absolute limits and having BON CHARGE in my recovery toolkit gives me confidence I can show up stronger each day.”
The brand said the partnership is a pivotal step in expanding its market reach and positioning itself as a global authority in wellness innovation, with Agius’ ultra-endurance challenge offering a high-impact platform to showcase its products.
