BOCHK redefines mobile banking with Panther Chan

Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) has unveiled a new digital branding campaign titled "Digital One: Smart banking beyond one touch" to showcase its upgraded and personalised mobile banking experience.
The initiative taps Hong Kong singer-songwriter Panther Chan as campaign ambassador, starring in a promotional video that demonstrates how BOCHK’s digital services empower customers to stay ahead in their daily lives.
The campaign centres around four core pillars - professional, borderless, efficient and personalised, demonstrating how BOCHK’s digital banking services help customers stay one step ahead in their daily lives.
Under the "professional" section, BOCHK has revamped the funds interface on its mobile banking app, introducing an interactive conversational assistant to guide fund selection and simplify trades. This is accompanied by 24/7 US stock trading, the new "US Stock EarnMore" stock-lending programme, intelligent stock-picking tools, and a fully digital "Target three-year online savings insurance plan."
Under "borderless" section, the updated foreign exchange platform introduces a 24/7 new FX Order Watch Service that automatically converts currencies once a target rate is reached, complemented by global account management and cross-boundary payment connect.
Under "efficient" tab, BOCHK has integrated the Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) service into mortgage, personal loan, and credit card applications, eliminating paper proof of income. Users can also manage cards and earn cross-border rewards via the BoC Pay+ platform. Finally, under "personalised", big data analytics and AI deliver bespoke financial insights, supported by direct relationship manager support via RM Chat and customised "LiveReward".
Marking her first collaboration with the bank, Chan—a long-time BOCHK mobile banking user—described the partnership as a perfect match. She shared that her busy schedule leaves her wanting fast and convenient banking tools so she can unwind with gaming and knitting during her downtime.
During the video shoot, Chan showcased her knitting skills and noted how the app’s intuitive features mirror her custom craft by tailoring services to individual needs. She highlighted how features such as IADS-enabled loan applications and seamless BoC Pay+ integration reduce friction and save time.
To amplify the launch and drive adoption across these new features, BOCHK is hosting the "Digital One grand lucky draw" in October, offering registered clients who complete designated tasks a chance to share in a prize pool of up to 10 million credit card reward points.
