British auction house Christie’s has appointed Victoria Chang (pictured) as its new head of communications and content for Asia Pacific, effective from 21 August. Based in Hong Kong, Chang will report to Natasha Le Bel, global head of communications, and Linda Chan, head of marketing, communications and client strategy, APAC.

Within her new role, Chang will oversee strategic communications for Christie’s APAC and manage the content team in Asia, working closely with Christie’s regional and global teams to support its auctions, business and brand in the Asian market.

A native of Taiwan, Chang brings to Christie’s more than 17 years of experience in communications and marketing in the luxury retail sector. Prior to her new role, Chang was the global PR and partnership manager at spirit company, William Grant & Son, in Singapore.

Prior to this, she held senior communications roles at leading LVMH group companies, including serving as marketing and communications manager for Bulgari’s South Asian operations in Singapore and senior communications manager at DFS Group in Hong Kong, in addition to public relations positions at Tod’s Group in Hong Kong and Loro Piana in Milan.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Christie’s for more information.

Back in July, Christie’s announced its plan to relocate its Asia Pacific headquarters in 2024 to The Henderson, a new skyscraper on Murray Road in Central, Hong Kong designed by Zaha Hadid Architects that will be in use by the end of this year. The new headquarter aims to become a worldwide destination for collectors, with a signature profile on the Hong Kong skyline.
