This marks the sixth iteration of the awards, which continues to honour and celebrate the outstanding eCommerce campaigns and remarkable talents, that have consistently demonstrated innovation and unwavering resilience - even in the face of the challenges of 2023.
In parallel to the evolution of the industry, five new categories have been introduced. These are:
Best Brand – Sports & Fitness
Best Use of Analytics and Data Insights
Best Use of Customer Retention and Churn Reduction
Best Use of SEO / SEM
Best Use of Shopper Marketing
This has brought the grand total of categories to 40 where the finalists will contend for the gold, silver, and bronze trophies, with the ultimate honour of "eCommerce Agency/Brand/Marketplace/eRetailer of the Year" awaiting the highest achievers across all categories.
Our esteemed panel of judges, consisting of 17 accomplished client-side marketing professionals, meticulously evaluated the entries in each category to ensure a fair and rigorous selection process.
Deborah Chong, global eCommerce director of Danone, said, “This year's entries were of exceptionally high quality and calibre. The entrants were very innovative and had the mindset of ‘Dare to explore and change’, especially with the super dynamic environment and trends now. The entrants should all be so proud of what they’ve accomplished with their huge drive to succeed, transform and set the bar high in accelerating Asia eCommerce. Truly inspiring!”
Ross Gearing, Asia Pacific marketing director of A. P. Moller Maersk also highlighted that it was “great to see the innovative and creative approaches to reaching customers and gaining excellent commercial outcomes. “In many of the entries, it is clear that there is a link between creative innovation and financial impact on the business,” Gearing said.
Almond Peñaflorida, marketing director of Jimini Foods Group also had high praises: “We have proven yet again that brands can successfully utilise all available platforms, especially eCommerce to their advantage and maximise its full potential if they are clear with their strategies. Brands were also smarter and more creative in utilising this important platform this year, and the possibilities are still endless if we just keep on innovating.”
