Archetype Hong Kong has bolstered its business with new hires, including promoting Stella Wong (pictured right) to principal consultant. She will drive new business development, agency marketing, and provide strategic client counsel to Archetype’s business-to-business (B2B) technology accounts.

Wong joined the agency in 2021 as senior consultant, bringing over 10 years of integrated communications experience. According to her LinkedIn, Wong was responsible for strategic counsel for tech and corporate clients, business development and team management. Prior to Archetype, Wong was founder and director of CoolBananas PR. She had also helmed the role of senior manager, marketing and PR at gini from May 2019 to December 2021.

In addition to Wong's promotion, Archetype Hong Kong has also appointed Ian Yee (pictured centre) and Natasha Shroff (pictured right) as two senior consultants. Both of them will work on the agency’s B2B technology accounts.

Yee is a multilingual communications specialist with inhouse and agency experience for consumer brands. He draws on his consumer experience to provide creative and content consultancy to Archetype’s cloud, data centre and cybersecurity clients. According to his LinkedIn, Yee helmed the role of corporate communications officer at Henderson Land Development Company before he joined Archetype. His role was to anchor with the corporate communications department, including the group's various communications functions and digital marketing for its loyalty programme Henderson Club. He had also worked at different PR agencies such as Edelman and Publicis Groupe.

Meanwhile, Shroff began her career in marketing and business development and then made the switch to PR and communications. Skilled in client consultancy, content creation and brand advocacy, Shroff supports the regional Amazon web services public sector account. According to her LinkedIn, Shroff joined Dragonfly Asia-Pacific in February 2019 as international distribution and marketing manager. She had helmed the role of business development manager, APAC - sales from January 2021 to October 2022.

“I’m excited to welcome Shroff and Yee to our team. The competition for talent in Hong Kong aside, we went into our search with intent to add diverse experiences and skills, and I‘m delighted that this strategy resulted in hiring Shroff and Yee. They each bring transferable skills, diversity of sectoral experience and perspectives that add to our ability to deliver the best work for our clients,” said Liz Weselby, managing director of Archetype Hong Kong.

MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has reached out to Archetype for further information.

Back in March 2022, Archetype Hong Kong has promoted Liz Weselby to managing director. She led the Hong Kong business, helping brands grow their presence in the local market, Greater China and APAC.
