AIA Alta and Chi Longevity team up to promote healthy ageing

AIA Alta, AIA Hong Kong & Macau's high-net-worth (HNW) proposition, has partnered with Singapore-based healthy longevity medicine clinic Chi Longevity to launch an upcoming longevity centre in Hong Kong later this year.

Co-founded by professor Andrea B. Maier, a pioneer and authority on healthy longevity, Chi Longevity brings evidence-based healthy ageing and precision geromedicine to the partnership. Through the collaboration, eligible AIA Alta clients will gain access to Chi Longevity’s propriety diagnostics and scientifically backed health solutions.

The partnership comes in response to findings from the AIA Alta High-Net-Worth Optimal Longevity Index, which highlighted a gap between longevity awareness and actionable preparation among the affluent. While respondents demonstrated strong awareness of longevity-related challenges (scoring 74 points), their operational preparedness lagged significantly behind (scoring 54 points).

By embedding Chi Longevity’s precision geromedicine into its existing health, wealth, and lifestyle ecosystem, AIA Alta aims to help HNW clients bridge this gap and take proactive steps toward healthy ageing.

Alger Fung, CEO of AIA Hong Kong & Macau, said: "Hong Kong is one of the world's longest-living societies. As longer lives become the norm, the question is no longer simply how long we live, but how well we live. As a leading insurer in Hong Kong, we see longevity not as a challenge, but as an opportunity to help people prepare for longer lives. That responsibility goes beyond protection. It is about empowering customers to maintain their health and wellbeing so they can enjoy longer, healthier and more fulfilling lives.

"This belief led us to collaborate with Chi Longevity. By bringing evidence-based longevity science solutions to Hong Kong, we aim to help customers take a more proactive approach to their long-term health, empowering them to live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives."

Alice Liang, chief proposition and healthcare officer of AIA Hong Kong & Macau, said: "Our AIA Alta High-Net-Worth Optimal Longevity Index revealed a clear gap between longevity awareness and preparedness. While many high-net-worth individuals recognise the opportunities that come with longer lives, far fewer feel equipped to act on them."

"Through AIA Alta's collaboration with Chi Longevity, we are making longevity science more accessible and actionable for customers. As we prepare to launch AIA Alta's longevity centre later this year, we look forward to bringing together longevity science expertise with our integrated ecosystem of health, wealth and lifestyle solutions, helping customers approach longer lives with greater confidence, purpose and peace of mind."

Maier is also the co-founder and director of the NUS Academy for Healthy Longevity, Oon Chiew Seng Professor in Medicine at the National University of Singapore, and professor of gerontology at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Maier said: "We are honoured to collaborate with AIA, one of Asia's leading insurers. We were drawn to AIA's commitment to helping people prepare proactively for longer lives while empowering customers to take greater ownership of their long-term health and wellbeing."

"This collaboration brings together complementary strengths with a shared purpose: helping people not only live longer, but live better. Together, we aim to make evidence-based healthy longevity medicine more accessible through Chi Longevity's proprietary programmes, combining diagnostics with scientifically supported interventions that help individuals better understand how they are ageing, identify opportunities for action, and monitor their health over time," Maier added.

The partnership marks the latest expansion of AIA Alta’s HNW ecosystem, following the release of its inaugural HNW Optimal Longevity Index, the launch of the AIA Alta Prestige Wealth Centre, and the introduction of bespoke health management solutions.
