After IPO, Fore Coffee leans into experience with new concept venue

Fresh off its stock market debut, Fore Coffee has launched Fore Experience, a flagship space in South Jakarta that goes beyond the typical café. Set in Panglima Polim, the concept expands on what Fore Coffee already does well—specialty beverages with local flair and mass appeal—but with a sharper focus on craft and personalisation.
"For us, Fore Experience is a place where ideas meet the craft. It is a living lab where our team experiments, explores, and elevates the aspects of our coffee, food, and hospitality," Vico Lomar, CEO of Fore Kopi Indonesia, said in a release.
The Slow Bar anchors the space—a station where Master Baristas craft each cup by hand, spotlighting single-origin beans from Aceh Gayo, Bali Kintamani, Gunung Cikuray, and Gunung Tilu. This isn't your usual grab-and-go setup. Each brew comes with a guided introduction to the bean's origin, flavour notes, and method, turning coffee into conversation.

But coffee is only half the story. Culinary ambition takes shape through a partnership with boulangerie chef Aston Adiwijaya, who helped design a brunch-forward menu that spans from Croissant Eggs Benedict to a refined Beef Rendang Sandwich. Each dish was developed to complement Fore's coffee range, in both taste and tone.
With its IPO still fresh, Fore Experience also signals the company's goal to mature beyond retail scale. With a push to evolve into something more experiential, its venue design and service touchpoints encourage longer stays and deeper interaction. According to Fore, the space was designed to host everything from casual business meetings to local community gatherings.
"Through a more open and immersive venue, we are creating a space where Fore Coffee's signature creations find their perfect pairings, and our crew brings hospitality to a whole new level," said Lomar.
Since launching in 2018, the brand has grown to over 216 outlets across 43 Indonesian cities, extending even to tier 2 and 3 areas. It's positioned as one of Indonesia's most recognisable F&B players in the premium-but-accessible category.
Fore Coffee's IPO in April 2025 marked a defining moment in its growth story. The listing saw shares surge 34% on debut and was oversubscribed more than 200 times. The company raised over IDR 353 billion (US$21 million) to fuel expansion, including 140 new outlets and a new donut subsidiary.
Listing during a period of market uncertainty signalled Fore Coffee's confidence in its long-term fundamentals. As president commissioner Willson Cuaca previously noted, the goal wasn't to chase a peak valuation, but to graduate the company—demonstrating its readiness as a mature, well-managed, and profitable business.
