AEON Credit unveils cinematic brand film capturing everyday Malaysia

AEON Credit has unveiled a cinematic brand film that captures the everyday journeys of Malaysians, brought to life by director Hyrul Anuar in collaboration with Accenture Song and Directors Think Tank.

Established in 1997, AEON Credit Service has grown into one of Malaysia’s leading non-bank financial service providers, with more than 60 branches nationwide. The new campaign coincides with the launch of the country’s first credit card for bikers, weaving together stories of daily life that reflect AEON’s close connection with the people it serves.

Shot over four days across six distinct locations, the film journeys through kampung roads, bustling cityscapes, and natural landscapes. Its warm, cinematic tone conveys AEON’s role in turning small actions into meaningful milestones - from everyday purchases to life-changing decisions.

For director Anuar, the script resonated because of its focus on people rather than figures. “From kampung roads to cityscapes, I wanted to show how AEON Credit is part of everyday life. Four days, so many locations - it was a challenge, but also a joy,” he explained.

Producer Lee Zin Yau highlighted the scale of the production and the importance of teamwork: “A project of this scale needs a strong team behind it. Managing multiple locations in such a tight schedule was intense, but the collaboration between crew, agency, and client made it smooth. At every step, we felt we were capturing something true to Malaysia’s spirit.”

Accenture Song stressed the brand’s human-centric approach: “AEON Credit has always been about more than financial services. It’s about enabling possibilities. We wanted the film to show that whether it’s a small everyday purchase or a life-changing decision, AEON Credit is there paving the way to infinite journeys ahead.”

AEON Credit Service, a subsidiary of Japan’s AEON Financial Service Co. and listed on Bursa Malaysia, provides consumer financing solutions such as credit cards, instalment schemes, and personal loans to promote financial inclusion.
